So on the 31st I went to Bilbao to visit my mormon friend, Noemi and her family. I was super excited to get away from non-mormons for new years eve, because well, they drink like none other that night. So I got to Bilbao and then we went to Noemi´s grandma´s house to have a huge dinner. At midnight we ate 12 grapes to the sound of the 12 bells and then we went out on the deck and partied and watched all the fireworks. It was sooooo much fun! I haven´t laughed this hard since my last night in Utah at KFC.
The next day we went to her grandma´s house again and had another amazing meal and watched National Treasure 2 in spanish. The next day I went to a movie with her friends and then the next day was sunday. I got to see my other good friend, ZuriƱe! And I met all the missionaries in Bilbao, and wow there´s a lot!!! I guess I´m still not used to having missionaries at church, and I´m definitely not used to having 10 missionaries in one ward! That night Zuri came over and showed us this thing on the internet, it´s a secret, but don´t worry it wasn´t anything bad.
Monday we went with the missionaries to this church by the sea. It was a pretty good hike and there was a ton of mud so it was a real adventure. And it was soooo beautiful!!! There were these two girls with us who kept flirting with all the missionaries, which just isn´t done, so I was happy when one of them fell in the mud, that´s so terrible of me!!! Well when we got to the top we rang a bell that means we´ll get married. There was also this man that was from Barcelona and he rang it for 10 minutes to the tune of the soccer team. Super annoying. But overall, I´m so happy I got the opportunity to go to this church, because it really was amazing.
Then yesterday we studied in the morning and then we went roller blading in the afternoon. Noemi has some classes, so I tagged along, and I was a failure. The teacher was trying to teach me to skate backwards and I about died!
Today is a holiday so we´re going to their grandma´s house again. In the morning there were presents in our shoes under the tree and the family here got me earrings. Well the ´wisemen´brought them, but still. Then we ate a cake for breakfast and there was a bean in it. Whoever got the bean had to pay, and the mom got the bean.
Well I better go now and get ready.

Oh many a good memory has been made at KFC. I think we need to possibly put off the Costa for a little bit so we can keep up with the KFC tradition when you get back. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Ok deal, but I do need to go to Costa Vida at least once in the first two weeks I'm back because man I'm craving mexican food!
ReplyDeleteOkey doke. :)
